Multiply the total inches per step by the number of steps. The total linear feet required for your straight stairs may be calculated by dividing by 12. We suggest adding one foot to the overall runner length.
Carpet is, by a wide margin, the safest flooring for stairs on our list. A stairway carpeted with short, thick fibres may do wonders for a house. The shorter fibres are more resilient and can withstand severe foot usage while remaining pleasant underfoot.
Spaces with little natural light, such as hallways, stairwells, and landings, can be made smaller using deep and dark colours. However, remember that white and exceptionally light carpets are readily stained. Light grey and taupe hues are often the most popular among clients.
Dark brown is one of the finest stair carpets to conceal grime. The deeper the colour, the better dirt will mix with the carpet. Powder and dust will not be seen against the dark brown background. While a lighter brown may also be aesthetically pleasing, it will not conceal as much dirt.
